On Saturday Oct 22nd, 2005 the Canadian Materials Handling and Distribution Society held the 9th Annual B.C. Championship Lift Truck Rally at the Neptune Foods Warehouse. It was a great success. Over 50 contestants entered and at least an additional 150 spectators witnessed the B.C. Champion Lift Truck Operators crowned.
In the Powered Pallet Mover competition Paul Prevost of London Drugs took the Gold (and the $500 first prize). Silver (and $300) went to Mark Keilpinski of Wallace and Carey. The Bronze medal (and $200) went to Fernando Palma of Neptune Foods.
In the Sit-Down Counterbalance category Eric O’Shea of London Drugs captured the Gold. The Silver went to Rodney Atelevich of ATS. Art Lovett of BW Creative Wood took the Bronze.
For Stand Up Reach Trucks the Gold medal went to Justin Burnett of HBC Logistics. Neptune Foods’ Noel Alsop captured Silver. And Angelo Balatsas of Toyota took home the Bronze.

There are several companies and individuals who made contributions to allow this event to take place.
